The lovely light installations were first, hand-drawn by the children of Soho Parish School and range from snowmen and Christmas trees to baubles and reindeer. The installations show what it is like to experience Christmas through children’s eyes.
“I would be really excited to have my design up in lights and would be proud of myself’. The competition helps us to use our imagination for this joyful time in the year. I drew a reindeer as it might remind children of old Christmas stories.” – Aryana, Age: 8
Antonio Capelao, architect and RIBA Architecture Ambassador, worked with Soho Parish School, and local Soho florist, Joao Rocha of Storm Flowers London, to create 21 lighting panels for this special project.
Some of the installations received awards from RIBA for the most thoughtful consideration of materials and impactful design.
This is a must-see as part of your Christmas Shopping in Soho.
